Prick eared purebreds must follow the breed standard, only with the ears standing erect or off the forehead. Without a pedigree to verify, rescued prick eared Pei can be easily misidentified as mixed other prick eared breeds such as ChowChow, Jindo, Akita, and several other shepherd and collie type breeds.
