FAMILY PHOTOS OF OUR PEI:
Chief and Dakota

Starburst's Weekend Warrior - DOB 9/04/95

Since passing of his mother, Fanny, Chief is now the oldest of our Pei family. He is a very sensitive guy, and has been especially caring and supportive through good times and bad. He's protective of strangers and new places, but is also extremely affectionate and loves to play and wrestle with close friends and family. Chief's been having problems with deteriorating premolars, but blood work has remained strong, so we only hope the dental extraction surgery fixed the problem and he can comfortably remain with our family for many more years to come.

Dakota Chu - DOB 4/04/99 - officially adopted 01/02

Dakota is a special needs female from Virginia Shar-pei Rescue who we adopted ourselves. She is not your average glowing rescue ambassador and has alot of health problems. Dakota's on daily medications for a weak immune system, intolerance to yeast and bacteria, and 40 known indoor / outdoor allergies. She has chronically inflamed skin, ears, eyes, and sinuses, so it seems like we are constantly treating something. When feeling good, she can be quite outgoing and playful, loves kids of all ages, other dogs and even our cats, although she's allergic to them as well. It's really a shame we couldn't have found her a home of her own, away from more of the allergens that make her so sick all the time, but we're doing the best we can for her overall health and general welfare.
