Happy Endings - Success Stories

This network was created to help unify the joint efforts of every Shar-pei rescue, whether group or privately adopted. While some cases may have more difficult challenges or obstacles to report, any and all Shar-pei rescuers are welcome to submit their special stories that have truly made a difference in a dog's or family's life.

Please contact us to add to this database.

OCTOBER 2007

FREMONT, OHIO

ADOPTED: Boo: male 30 lb 2 to 4 yr old, has eye injury.

Thanks to Sandusky County Dog Warden's Office for assisting in this dog's adoption.

BROOKFIELD, MISSOURI

ADOPTED: My owner decided he couldn't take care of me anymore, so he brought me here to find a new home. I am 3 years old and I like people. I don't get too nervous and try to bite like some other Sharpeis. I didn't even flinch when they gave me my vaccines. If you are looking for a calm, wrinkled dog, please come and give me a try.

Thanks to Linn County Humane Society for assisting in this dog's adoption.

PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA

ADOPTED: Hi my name is Sydney. My young family and I were recently turned into a shelter when our owner was deported. The shelter was extremely full & they told the rescue people that we didn't have much time... Lucky for us, they came to our rescue. My mom is a black purebred Shar-pei (not sure what daddy was) and I also have 3 longer haired siblings that have already found homes. I am a playful, medium sized mixed pup, needing lots of sleep, attention, and care to make sure I get big and strong. I love to chew on toys and play with people and other animals, so I will need an indoor home with a family willing to spend time with me to learn all the important stuff in life, like potty and crate training, when they can't be home. I'm also starting to walk on a leash, but it's still much more fun when to have people carry me around...LOL, which I get away since I am so little and give the best puppy kisses and love to cuddle. Won't you consider making me part of your family??
