Happy Endings - Success Stories

This network was created to help unify the joint efforts of every Shar-pei rescue, whether group or privately adopted. While some cases may have more difficult challenges or obstacles to report, any and all Shar-pei rescuers are welcome to submit their special stories that have truly made a difference in a dog's or family's life.

APRIL 2007

Angel/Shiloh has a Home!!!

This Little Angel named Shiloh was a young pup surrendered by her owners who neglected a bite injury, and in recourse, she had to have one of her rear legs amputated. Shar-pei Rescue of Virginia Inc. came to her rescue, got her healed up, and has now found her a forever home who will truly love and cherish her. Here’s a few words from her new family:

Hello Friends! I wanted to send along some pictures of Molly (shiloh). Molly loves her big brother and the rest of the family. We are so happy that she joined our family and fit in so well. Molly is the new star in the neighborhood and steals everyone’s hearts she meets! Enjoy the pictures! I will forward more as we take them. It’s only been two weeks but we can’t believe how much she’s grown.

MESA, ARIZONA

ADOPTED 6 month old Shar Pei mix puppy who was on death row at the county shelter!! He was rescued on his last day. Because he has an eyelid problem (common to shar peis) they were going to put him down. It's an easily correctible surgery to fix it and a sponsor has stepped forth to cover the cost. Fred gets along fine with other dogs and is the cutest, most adorable wrinkly-faced puppy. He loves attention and loves to give you kisses!! Fred is learning the ropes of housebreaking and crate training in his current foster home. He is very special and deserves a very loving happy home.. Thanks to Lucky Dog Rescue for adopting out this dog.
