ADOPTED Breezy is an 8 month old Shar Pei who is looking for a permanent loving home. She is very sweet and good with children and other dogs (big and small). She loves to play with her tennis ball and to curl up next to you. She walks really well on the leash, is housebroken and well behaved. She is about 35 pounds, spayed, up to date on shots and microchipped. She is a very happy girl whose tail wags all of the time. Thanks to Gina Jacobson for adopting out Breezy.

TUPELO, MISSISSIPPI

UPDATE 2/10/07 Kai's foster family have given him the very best birthday present of all, a permanent home. He's been doing so well fitting in with their family, they can't bear the thought of giving him away ever again. Kai aka Kaili (pronounced Ki--lee with a long i) Happy Birthday to this now 4 year old - on 2/10/07 - neutered male rescued the Vicksburg Warren Humane Society. Kai has been blessed with such a wonderful foster home. On a recent visit to Petsmart, Kai loved everyone he met and wagged his tail whenever someone stopped to pet him. He even let kids pet him. Everyone felt sorry for his sad story, but they agree he is going to be a beautiful dog once he is back to full weight. He rides well in the car and walks nicely on the leash. He seems to like his new name already too. Kai is even making friends with the foster's family cat. He's been eating well and is very active and strong despite his emaciated condition out of the shelter on 1/27/07. Everyone has been shocked how his previous owners could have ever surrendered this sweet dog, but we know they will do all they can to make sure he is forever treated with all the love and respect he deserves.

Special thanks to Bart & Patty Aguirre for helping Kai!!!

QUINCY, MASSACHUSETTS

ADOPTED: Harley is a 4 year old SharPei Mix. He's the strong silent type that loves to sit by your side and observe the world around him. Harley is very intelligent, obedience trained and walks well on a leash. True to his breed, Harley is the one owner dog. Due to his strength, he needs to go to a home with adults and teenagers 16+, who have experience with large breed dogs.

Thanks to Quincy Animal Shelter for adopting out Harley.

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA

ADOPTED: Shaq: 4 year old male.

Thanks to Second Chance Rescue for adopting out Shaq.

PIMA, ARIZONA

ADOPTED: Tuey has been adopted by Vicky Reed and is now called PotBilly since he has a bit of a paunch. He's a 17" mini and is quite gentle and gets along very well considering all the excitement around here with dogs and horses. NOT good with cats though. He was at the shelter for two weeks with no interest in him so I had to go get him. Glad I did - signed, Vicky Reed.

Thanks to Pima Animal Care Center for adopting out Tuey.
