Bear Coat Shar-Pei Example

This is a picture of our one and only bearcoat progeny, nicknamed "Mo" by her family. Mo passed away last year from an illness. She was full sister to our Chief and one other sibling, Chip, who also passed away a few years ago.

Bearcoats must follow the breed standard, only varied in the coat being longer than 1 inch. Without a pedigree to verify, rescued bearcoats can be easily misidentified as mixed ChowChow and/or other long haired breed mixes. CLICK HERE for a relationship history of Chows and Pei in theTang dog family.
